Voice Actor/Actress Appreciation Post #3

So, today I decided to get back to appreciating the real people behind the fictional characters. Today's VA, and my personal favorite, is Kugimiya Rie. Rie has played several of my favorite characters including Aisaka Taiga from Toradora, Shana from Shakugan no Shana, and Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku. Between those three characters and Louise and Lotte from Zero no Tsukaima and Lotte no Omocha, respectively. Between those roles, Kugimiya rightfully earns the title of tsundere princess, at least from my standpoint.

Let's start with Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku. Nagi is a rich, blond schoolgirl whom has a heavy interest in manga and other otaku things. When she encountered Hayate in the series, she hires him as her butler. Through the series, Nagi starts to develop feelings for Hayate despite being younger than him. The main focus of the series is upon the comedy, but in the scope of Nagi's feelings, she's often very tsundere-y about them. Of course, being the tsundere fanboy I am, I find her reactions absolutely adorable.

Next off is Shana from Shakugan no Shana. Shana is a sword wielding flame haze in the series. Instead of focusing on the series, let's focus on Shana and relationships involving Shana. Shana starts out as a fairly emotionless character but slowly develops into a more emotional character as her relationship with Yuji develops. While she's fairly clueless about romance, she's also awkward in the sense that she'll yell at Yuji one moment then be soothing him and looking for sympathy from him the next.

Lastly is Aisaka Taiga from Toradora. Of the three of these characters, Taiga is by far my favorite. She's aggressive, yet sensitive, just like the other two, but more adorable in her own way. I personally find her more adorable due to the genre of the anime she is in being a romantic-comedy focus. That alongside how she just falls for Ryuuji over time when he was helping her get with his friend, Kitamura, whom Taiga initially liked, just completely caught me. And of course, her being so tsundere over her emotions just completely and totally had me dubbing Taiga as fanboy-worthy.
